FAQs

How many hours of ski lessons with instructors are included?

Lessons with instructors are a minimum of 2 hours a day, and can go up to 5 or 6 hours a day depending on the package the school books.

What clothes and gear should kids pack?

We recommend packing waterproof ski trousers and jacket, tall plain cotton socks (avoid very thick ones, they can cause blisters), several long-sleeve t-shirts to change into each day, a hat, scarf or buff, waterproof gloves, ski goggles or sunglasses, and lip balm and high-factor sun cream. The key is the 3-layer rule: a snug, breathable first layer (never cotton), a warm fleece mid-layer, and a waterproof outer jacket.

How are the level groups formed on the first day?

On the first day, instructors run a short test watching how the students ski down, and use that to sort them into level groups.

What documentation do students need to travel to Andorra?

Each student needs their original ID card, residence permit or passport, plus the "minor's travel permit", which each family must request at a police station (only applicable to Spanish minors resident in Spain; foreign students should check with their consulate). The original ID must be carried throughout the trip, including on destinations within Spain.

Where do we specify students' allergies and intolerances?

The lists Estiber provides to the school include a dedicated field for this, and that information is passed on to both the hotels and the ski resort dining halls.

What does the travel insurance include?

A combined travel and accident insurance policy, the exact coverage and amounts are provided together with each group's quote.
