Baqueira/Beret is in north Catalonia, in the province of Lleida, between the regions of Vall d' Aran and Pallars Sobirà.
It is the third largest ski resort at Pyrenees after Aramon in Aragon and Grandvalira in Andorra. Its altitude ramp of 1,010 m, is very similar to the Alps resorts like Val Thorens or Tignes, so its tracks are also almost as long as these stations.
With an Atlantic orientation and northward, it enjoys heavy snow and low temperatures throughout the season, which also ensures alarge space outside track.
In the Vall d' Aran, there is public transport to access the station, but not in the Pallars . From the parking lot of Baqueira 1500 to the tracks, there is also a free public transport. The station is divided into three zones: Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua. Beret is the preferred area if you start it in skiing, as there is a beginners area with a reduced price ski pass.
At the core of Baqueira, around the station, you will find services and après ski activities of all kinds; and both the Aran Valley and Pallars will amaze you with the landscape, with peaks of over 3,000 m, the highest lakes in the Pyrenees, great forests of fir and pine trees and small villages with stone houses and churches.
