Formigal is in the Aragonese Pyrenees, about 150 km from Zaragoza (roughly 1h45-2h by car) and around 450 km from Madrid (about 4-4h30 by car), making it an accessible destination for a short getaway from Zaragoza or a weekend trip from Madrid.

What's the difference between Formigal and Panticosa?

Formigal and Panticosa are two separate ski resorts in the Tena valley that share the same ski pass: with a single pass you can ski the slopes of both. That said, they aren't ski-connected, so you need to drive between the two.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier you book, the better the availability and price, especially on high-demand dates like long weekends, Christmas or Easter.
